National Security (Apple and Pear Acquisition) Regulations (Amendment) (Cth)
STATUTORY RULES.
REGULATION UNDER THE NATIONAL SECURITY ACT 1939–1940.*

THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL in and over the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the
advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulation
under the

Amendment of the National Security (Apple and Pear Acquisition) Regulations.
Regulation 23b of the National Security (Apple and Pear Acquisition) Regulations is repealed and the following regulation inserted in its stead:—
“
23b.—(1.) The Board may specify the conditions subject to which apples and pears, sold or otherwise disposed of by the Board, may be subsequently sold or disposed of.
“(2.) Any specification under this regulation may be made so as to apply—
(
a ) to apples or pears, or both, generally;(
b ) to apples or pears of a particular class;(
c ) to apples or pears, or both, sold or disposed of in any particular area, or on any particular day; or(
d ) to any person, or to all persons included in any particular class of persons or to any or all persons included in any particular area, or to persons generally.

“(3.) A person to whom any specification under this regulation applies shall not sell or otherwise dispose of any apples or pears otherwise than in accordance with that specification.
“(4.) Every person engaged in the sale or disposal of apples or pears shall, for the purpose of this regulation, keep records of his purchases and of any sale of apples or pears of one bushel or more, and shall preserve all dockets, invoices and other documents relating thereto until the expiration of a period of six months after the termination of the present war or until their destruction is authorized by the Board, whichever first happens.”.
