REGULATIONS UNDER THE NATIONAL SECURITY ACT 1939-1940.*

I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL in and over the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulations under the National Security Act 1939-1940.

Amendments of the National Security (Apple and Pear Acquisition) Regulations.

Definitions.

1. Regulation 3 of the National Security (Apple and Pear Acquisition) Regulations is amended by omitting from the definition of “member” the words “and the Executive Member” and inserting in their stead the words “, the Executive Member and the Government Finance Member”.

Australian Apple and Pear Marketing Board.

2. Regulation 4 of the National Security (Apple and Pear Acquisition) Regulations is amended by omitting from sub-regulation (1.) the words “and an Executive Member” and inserting in their stead the words “, an Executive Member and a Government Finance Member”.

Meetings of the Board.

3. Regulation 5b of the National Security (Apple and Pear Acquisition) Regulations is amended by inserting after sub-regulation (1.) the following sub-regulations:—

“(2.) At any meeting of the Board, three members shall constitute a quorum.

“(3.) At all meetings of the Board, the chairman shall have a deliberative vote, and, in the case of an equality of votes, shall also have a casting vote.”.
