REGULATION

(Relating to penalties)

HIS Excellency the Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of the National Parks and Wildlife Act 1974, has been pleased to make the Regulation set forth hereunder.

Commencement

1. This Regulation commences on 18 January 1991.

Amendments

2. The National Parks and Wildlife (Land Management) Regulation

1987 is amended:

(a)	by omitting from clause 62 (c) the matter "$25" and by inserting instead the matter "$50";
(b)	by omitting from clause 62 (d) the matter "$50" and by inserting instead the matter "$75";
(c)	by omitting from Schedule 2 in relation to clause 6 the matter "$30" and by inserting instead the matter "$75";
(d)	by omitting from Schedule 2 in relation to clause 10 (1) (a) and (b) the matter "$30" and by inserting instead the matter "$100";
(e)	by omitting from Schedule 2 the matter "$40" wherever occurring and by inserting instead the matter "$75".

EXPLANATORY NOTE

The object of this Regulation is to increase the penalties which are payable under infringement notices issued in respect of parking and certain other offences committed on lands reserved or dedicated under the National Parks and Wildlife Act 1974.
