No. XVI.

An Act to amend an Act intituled " An Act to " incorporate the Board of Commissioners for " National Education." [19th August, 1852.]

by His Excellency the Governor of New South Wales with the advice W HEREAS it is expedient to increase the number of Commis­sioners to form the Board of National Education Be it enacted
and consent of the Legislative Council thereof as follows :—
1. I t shall be lawful for the said Governor from time to time and at his discretion to nominate and appoint (in addition to the number now appointed) any number of persons to be Members of the said Corporation provided that the said Corporation shall not at any time in the whole exceed ten Members.
2. The Members to be so appointed from time to time shall form part of the said Corporation and the said Corporation so enlarged shall have the same powers rights and privileges as have hitherto been enjoyed by the Members already appointed and shall in all respects be subject to the provisions of the Act passed in the eleventh year of the reign of Her present Majesty number forty-eight and to any by-laws already made or which may hereafter be made in pursuance of the
said Act.
