These Rules are the
National Disability Insurance Scheme (Becoming a Participant) Amendment Rules 2014.
These Rules commence on 1 July 2014.
3 Amendment of National Disability Insurance Scheme (Becoming a Participant) Rules 2013 Schedule 1 amends the
National Disability Insurance Scheme (Becoming a Participant) Rules 2013.
(rule 3)
Insert: 4.4A The following areas are the
2014 NDIS launch areas :(a) the areas that comprise the following districts of Western Australia declared under section 2.1 of the
Local Government Act 1995 (WA) as at the commencement of theNational Disability Insurance Scheme (Becoming a Participant) Amendment Rules 2014 :(i) Shire of Kalamunda;
(ii) Shire of Mundaring;
(iii) City of Swan;
(b) the area that comprises the Barkly Region in the Northern Territory as defined under section 9 of the
Local Government Act (NT) as at the commencement of theNational Disability Insurance Scheme (Becoming a Participant) Amendment Rules 2014 ;(c) the Australian Capital Territory.
Note: reference to the Australian Capital Territory in these Rules does not include the Jervis Bay Territory.
Omit “Australian Capital Territory”
Substitute “2014 NDIS launch areas”
Omit “the Australian Capital Territory”
Substitute “a 2014 NDIS launch area”
Item 4 Subparagraph 4.7(d) before “exceptional circumstances”
Insert: “except where the relevant NDIS launch area is the Australian Capital Territory, ”
Item 5 Subparagraphs 4.8(b) and (d) and subparagraph 4.8(e)(ii)(A)
Omit “the Australian Capital Territory”
Substitute “a 2014 NDIS launch area”
Item 6 Subparagraph 4.8(e)(ii)(B) before “exceptional circumstances”
Insert: “except where the NDIS launch area in which a parent who satisfies subparagraph (A) starts to reside is the Australian Capital Territory, ”
