National Companies and Securities

Commission Regulations2 (Amendment)

I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, being advice that, as required by sub-section 53 (4) of the National Companies and Securities Commission Act 1979,is consistent with resolutions of the Ministerial Council for Companies and Securities, hereby make the following Regulations under that Act.

Commencement

1. These Regulations shall come into operation on 1 July 1986.

Prescribed enactments for the purposes of paragraph 47 (2) (a) of the Act

2. Regulation 13 of the National Companies and Securities Commission Regulations is amended—

(a) by inserting after paragraph (a) the following paragraph:

“(aaa) the Companies Act 1963 of the Northern Territory;”;

(b) by inserting after paragraph (j) the following paragraphs:

“(ja) the Companies (Acquisition of Shares) (Application of Laws) Act 1986 of the Northern Territory;

(jb) the Companies (Application of Laws) Act 1986 of the Northern Territory;”;

(c) by inserting after paragraph (mc) the following paragraph:

“(md) the National Companies and Securities Commission (Northern Territory Provisions) Act 1986 of the Northern Territory;”; and

(d) by inserting after paragraph (te) the following paragraph:

“(tf) the Securities Industry (Application of Laws) Act 1986 of the Northern Territory;”.
