NARROGIN RECREATION
RESERVE.

No. 25 of 1920.
AN ACT to vest in and authorise the acquisition by the Municipality of Narrogin of certain lands to be held as a ground for sports and for the purpose of public enter- tainment and exhibitions, and to be known as the Narrogin Recreation Reserve, and to empower the trustees of Reserve A 7417 to sell the lands comprised therein, and to hand the proceeds to the said Munici- pality to be used in the improvement of the said Recreation Reserve, and the acquisition of lands to form part thereof, and for other relative purposes.

BE it enacted by the King's Most Excellent Majesty, byCouncil and Legislative Assembly of Western Australia, inand with the advice and consent of the Legislative
this present Parliament assembled, and by the authority of
the same, as follows:—

(b) The lands comprised in Reserves A 9595, 9360, and
14387, and Narrogin Town Lot 498, all delineated
and coloured red in the said plan.

(2.) The lands so vested, together with the lands ac-
quired under section two of this Act shall
| (a) | constitute the Narrogin Recreation Reserve (here- inafter called the "Reserve"), and be held as a ground for sports and the purpose of public en- tertainment and exhibitions under and subject to the provisions of this Act; |
| (b) | be deemed to have been set apart and proclaimed as |
a Class "A" Reserve;
| (c) | be freed by force of this Act from all other trusts |
and purposes.
2. The said municipality is hereby empowered to pur- Power of Munici-

Further powers of
| Council. | 6. The said council may, from time to time, on any part or parts of the reserve, construct or provide and maintain, control and manage or grant concessions for the construction, maintenance, control and management of |
| (a) | grandstands, pavilions, seats, shelter-sheds, kiosks, and other buildings for the convenience of the public; |
(b) public refreshment rooms;
(c) buildings for public entertainments or exhibitions
conducted or authorised by the council.
And the said council may conduct or authorise public entertainments or exhibitions on any part of the reserve.
Power to make
| Byanws. | 7. (1.) The said council may make by-laws enacting and |
prescribing all such matters and things as it may be neces- sary or convenient to enact or prescribe for the purpose of carrying the purposes and objects of this Act into effect, or for ensuring good order on the reserve and the convenience, comfort, and safety of the people using the same; and may impose a penalty not exceeding ten pounds for the breach of any by-law.
(2.) The power to make by-laws shall include power to prescribe and levy tolls and charges for the right to enter or make use of the reserve or any part thereof or any build- ing, enclosure or thing situated or being thereon.
Power to expend

The ordinary revenue of the said municipality and such moneys as the council thereof may borrow (which, under and subject to Part XXIV. of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1906, the council is hereby authorised to do), shall be applic- able towards payment of expenses incurred by the munici- pality in the exercise of any power conferred by this Act. |
