1Name

This instrument is the Narcotic Drugs Amendment (Fees) Regulations 2024.

2Commencement

1. (1)

   Each provision of this instrument specified in column 1 of the table commences, or is taken to have commenced, in accordance with column 2 of the table. Any other statement in column 2 has effect according to its terms.

This instrument is made under the Narcotic Drugs Act 1967.

Schedule 1Amendments

Narcotic Drugs Regulation 2016

Section 4

Repeal the following definitions:

1. (a)

   definition of category A document;

2. (b)

   definition of category B document;

3. (c)

   definition of certified true copy;

4. (d)

   definition of identification document.

Paragraph 6(2)(a)

Repeal the paragraph.

Paragraph 36(2)(a)

Repeal the paragraph.

Subsection 54(1)

Omit “$9,230”, substitute “$9,370”.

Insert:

64Application provisions relating to the Narcotic Drugs Amendment (Fees) Regulations 2024

1. (1)

   The amendment of subsection 54(1) made by the Narcotic Drugs Amendment (Fees) Regulations 2024 applies to inspections started on or after 1 July 2024.

2. (2)

   The amendments of clause 1 of Schedule 1 made by the Narcotic Drugs Amendment (Fees) Regulations 2024 apply in relation to applications made on or after 1 July 2024.
