1. Citation
This notice is the Mutual Recognition (Western Australia)
Request for Regulations Notice 2023.
2. Proposed regulations requested
For the purposes of the Mutual Recognition Act 1992
(Commonwealth) section 47 as adopted under the Mutual
Recognition (Western Australia) Act 2020, the proposed
regulations set out in Schedule 1 to this notice are requested.

Regulations 2023I, General the Honourable David Hurley AC DSC (Retd), Governor-General of
the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive
Council, make the following regulations.

Proposed regulations Schedule 1 1 Name
This instrument is the Mutual Recognition Legislation Amendment
(Tasmanian Container Deposit Scheme) Regulations 2023.
2 Commencement
(1) Each provision of this instrument specified in column 1 of the table
commences, or is taken to have commenced, in accordance with
column 2 of the table. Any other statement in column 2 has effect
according to its terms.Commencement information

information in it may be edited, in any published version of this

Schedule 1 Proposed regulations 4 Repeal of this instrument
This instrument is repealed on the day after it commences.
5 Schedules
Legislation that is specified in a Schedule to this instrument is
amended or repealed as set out in the applicable items in the
Schedule concerned, and any other item in a Schedule to thisinstrument has effect according to its terms.

Mutual Recognition Act 1992
1 At the end of Schedule 2
Add:
38 Both of the following:
(a) the Container Refund Scheme Act 2022 (Tas.); (b)
regulations or other instruments made under that Act, to the extent that they relate to the container deposit scheme established by Part 2 of that Act.
