Mutual Assistance in Criminal Matters (Republic of Singapore) Regulations

I, The ADMINISTRATOR of the Government of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, make the following Regulations under the Mutual Assistance in Criminal Matters Act 1987.

Citation

 1. These Regulations may be cited as the Mutual Assistance in Criminal Matters (Republic of Singapore) Regulations.

[NOTE: These Regulations commence on gazettal: see Acts Interpretation Act 1901, s. 48.]

Interpretation

 2. In these Regulations:

“Act” means the Mutual Assistance in Criminal Matters Act 1987.

Application

 3. (1) The Act applies to the Republic of Singapore subject to the exceptions specified in subregulation (2).

 (2) Parts IV, V, VI, VIa and VII of the Act do not apply in relation to the Republic of Singapore.
