MUNITIONS ACT.

Wales in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows :—

1 . This Act may be cited as the "Munit ions Act,

1915."
2 . The Chief Commissioner for Railways and Tram­ ways may, in pursuance of this Act, manufacture and supply arms and munitions of war.

3 . For such purposes he may—

(a) use any lands, buildings, railways, tramways, rolling-stock, machinery, apparatus, and things vested in him under the Government Railways Act, 1912, or which are under his control;

(b) purchase or construct other necessary buildings, machinery, apparatus, and things, and sell the same when no longer necessary for the purposes of this Act ;

and management of the said Commissioner.

(c) purchase the requisite materials ;

(d)

employ officers, servants, and workmen, in­ cluding officers and servants in the railway service; and

(e)

do such other things as are necessary for the exercise of his powers under this Act.

4 . All moneys appropriated by Parliament for the

purposes of this Act shall be expended under the control

The provisions of section fourteen of the Government Railways Act, 1!)12, shall apply to the payment and receipt of moneys under this Act.

The said Commissioner may make hy-laws regulating the carrying out of work under this Act and prescribing the duties of officers, servants, and Avorkmen engaged in such work, and may in such by-laws impose any j>enalty not exceeding twenty pounds for any breach of the same.
