AN ACT to amend the Municipality of Fremantle

Act, 1925.

[Assented to 16th October, 1956.]

BE it enacted by the Queen's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and the Legislative Assembly of Western Australia, in this present Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—

1. (1) This Act may be cited as the Municipality (rata it.

of Fremantle Act Amendment Act, 1956.

(2) In this Act the Municipality of Fremantle Act, 1925 (Act No. 19 of 1925) is referred to as the principal Act.

(3) The principal Act as amended by this Act may be cited as the Municipality of Fremantle Act, 1925-1956.

amended 2. Section five of the principal Act is amended by inserting after the word "alignment" in line five of subsection (4) the words "or, in the case of land upon which no building or work or portion of a building or work is erected or in course of erection at the time of the prescribing of the new building line, on the date of such prescribing, or on the date of the commencement of the Municipality of Fremantle Act Amendment Act, 1956, whichever shall be the later date."
