An Act to reduce the area of the Municipal

District of Inverel l . [12th November, 1901.]

W H E R E A S the land described in t he F i r s t t he said munic ipa l dis tr ict a n d the ra tepayers thereof have agreed t h a t

Schedule to this Act

now forms t h e Munic ipa l Dis t r ic t of I n v e r e l l : A n d whereas

1. F r o m and after t he pass ing of this Ac t the area of t he
Munic ipa l Dis t r ic t of Invere l l shall be reduced to the area described
in t h e Second Schedule to th is Act , and the said Munic ipa l Dis t r ic t of Invere l l

t he area of t he said munic ipa l dis tr ict shall be reduced from the area described in the said F i r s t Schedule here to to the p a r t of the said area as described in t h e Second Schedule here to : A n d whereas it is for the in teres ts of t h e said mun ic ipa l district and the said ra tepayers thereof t h a t t he area of t he said munic ipa l district should be reduced as afore­ sa id : Be it therefore enacted by the K i n g ' s Mos t Exce l l en t Majes ty , by and wi th t he advice and consent of t he Legis la t ive Council and Legis la t ive Assembly of New Sou th W a l e s in Par l i ament assembled, and by t h e au thor i ty of the same, as follows :—

Inve re l l shal l have the same powers and be subject to t he same liabili t ies and shall as fully and effectually comprise t he said area described in t he said Second Schedule here to and no more as if t h e said area had original ly formed t h e said Mun ic ipa l Dis t r ic t of Inve re l l .

2. N o t h i n g here in conta ined shall affect a n y acts done or r igh t s

or l iabili t ies accrued, incurred , or imposed b y or aga ins t t he	said
Mun ic ipa l Dis t r ic t of Invere l l or any person or persons in respect	of

any act , ma t t e r , or t h i n g done or commenced to be done before t he

pass ing of th is Ac t . A n d all rates and taxes du ly imposed or payable

in respect of t he proper ty wi th in t he area described in t he said F i r s t Schedule hereto for the present or any previous munic ipa l year wi th in t h e m e a n i n g of t he Munic ipa l i t ies Ac t , 1S97, section three , subsect ion two, m a y be recovered and p a y m e n t thereof enforced by or on behalf of t he said Munic ipa l Dis t r ic t of Invere l l as fully and in t h e same

m a n n e r as if th i s A c t h a d no t been passed.

3.    This A c t may be cited as t he " Munic ipa l Dis t r ic t of Inve re l l

Description of the original area of the Municipal District of Inverell.

Count ies of Gough and Ar rawa t t a : Commencing on the western boundary of the reserve on account of popula t ion of t he town of Invere l l at about one mile and e ighteen chains from the south-wes t corner of t h a t reserve at five chains nor ther ly from the south­ west corner of por t ion two h u n d r e d and eight, par ish of I n v e r e l l ; and bounded thence on the west by the wes tern boundary of t h a t reserve bear ing n o r t h to Spencer ' s Gully ; thence by t h a t gully to the sou th-eas te rn corner of port ion seventy- three , parish of Byron , county of A r r a w a t t a ; thence by the eas te rn boundary of t h a t por t ion no r the r ly to its nor th -eas t corner ; t h ence by a lino nor th to the cen t re of the road forming the western boundary of J . R. Eraser ' s th ree hundred and twenty acres condit ional purchase , por t ion seventy-two, par ish of Byron ; thence by a line along the cen t r e of t ha t road no r the r ly to Robroy Gul ly ; thence on the no r th by t h a t gully downwards to t he M T n t y r e R i v e r ; and thence by t h a t r iver south-eas ter ly to the south-western corner of

Campbel l ' s n ine ty-seven acres, po r t ion four , on M T n t y r e River , par ish of E lmsmore ; t hence on the east by a l ine bear ing south about five miles and four chains to the nor th-wes t corner of t h a t n ine ty-seven acres ; and thence by the wes te rn boundary of t h a t land bear ing south t o the M ' I n t y r e River ; and thence by a lino crossing t h a t river, and by the wes tern b o u n d a r y of A. M T l v e e n ' s two h u n d r e d acres condit ional purchase , por t ion five, and the wes tern bounda ry of por t ion twenty- two, parish of E lmsmore , souther ly to the south-wes t corner of t h a t por t ion ; and thence on the south by a l ine bear ing west about six miles and seventy chains, to the point of commencement .
