AN ACT to amend sections one hundred and eighty and two hundred and nineteen of the Municipal Cor- porations Act, 1906-1945.

[Assented to 13th November, 1946.]

BE it enacted by the King's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legis- lative Council and Legislative Assembly of Western Australia, in this present Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows :—

Short title 1. This Act may be cited as the Municipal Corpora- tions Act Amendment Act, 1946, and shall be read as one with the Municipal Corporations Act, 1906-1945 (Act No. 32 of 1906 as reprinted pursuant to the Amendments In- corporation Act, 1938, in Volume I of The Reprinted Acts of the Parliament of Western Australia, 1939, and amended by the Acts No. 19 of 1939, No. 41 of 1940, No. 11 of 1941, No. 18 of 1943 and No. 59 of 1945), hereinafter referred to as the principal Act.

Section one hundred and eighty of the principal

Quarries and

Brickyards.

Act is amended by adding at the end of line two of sub-

section (33) thereof the words "and brick making."

Amendment of

Section two hundred and nineteen of the principal

s. 219.

Quarries and

Act is amended

Brickyards.

(a) by inserting in subsection (1) after the word "quarries" in line one thereof the words "and brickyards";

(h) by inserting in subsection (2) after the word "it" in line two thereof the words "and of bricks made by it" and by adding at the end of the said subsection the ffords "and subject to the approval of the Minister to any other person who requires such bricks, stone and materials."
