MRCA Treatment Principles (2005 Budget and Other Amendments)

Instrument No. M8 of 2005

1. The Military Rehabilitation and Compensation Commission determines to vary under subsection 286(2) of the Military Rehabilitation and Compensation Act 2004 the MRCA Treatment Principles determined by the Commission under section 286 of that Act (Instrument No. M21 of 2004) as set out in the Schedule.

2. This instrument commences on 1 July 2005.

SCHEDULE

Paragraph 3.5.1(aa)

Omit “125%”, substitute “the sum of the amount of 115%”.

Paragraph 3.5.1(aa)

After “that attendance or procedure”, insert “and 10% of that amount”.

Subparagraph 3.5.1(b)(i)

Omit “benefit”, substitute “fee”.

Subparagraphs 3.5.1(d)(i) and (ii)

Omit the subparagraphs, substitute:

1. an amount equal to the fee for that attendance or procedure listed in the Medicare Benefits Schedule; or

2. for a Group T10 procedure, a fee calculated on a unit value equal to $27.65 indexed each year by the Medicare Benefits Schedule index factor.
