An Act to repeal the Mount Yokine Land Acquisition Act 1960, and for related purposes.

[Assented to 17 November 2000]

The Parliament of Western Australia enacts as follows:

1.             Short title

This Act may be cited as the Mount Yokine Land Acquisition

Repeal Act 2000.

2.             Commencement

This Act comes into operation on the day on which it receives

the Royal Assent.

3. Mount Yokine Land Acquisition Act 1960 repealed

The Mount Yokine Land Acquisition Act 1960 is repealed.

4.             Savings

(1) Despite the repeal of the repealed Act, if a lease of the reserve is in force under section 6 of the repealed Act immediately before this Act comes into operation —

(a)	the lease continues to have effect under that section as if the repealed Act had not been repealed; and
(b)	the exemption given under section 7 of the repealed Act continues to apply to a lessee or occupier of the reserve under the lease referred to in paragraph (a).

(2)	In this section —
“the repealed Act” means the Act repealed by section 3;
“the reserve” has the same meaning as it has in the repealed

Act.
