Part 1—Preliminary

1—Short title

These regulations may be cited as the Motor Vehicles Variation Regulations 2014.

2—Commencement

These regulations will come into operation on 2 March 2014.

3—Variation provisions

In these regulations, a provision under a heading referring to the variation of specified regulations varies the regulations so specified.

4—Variation of Schedule 4—Demerit points

  1. Schedule 4, Part 1, clause 2, items relating to rules 163(1) and 164(1)—delete the items and substitute:

Driving past rear of stopped tram at tram stop

Failing to stop when tram stops at tram stop

Failing to stay stopped if tram stops alongside at tram stop

  1. Schedule 4, Part 1, clause 2, item relating to rule 264(1)—after "wear" insert:

    approved

  2. Schedule 4, Part 2, clause 5, item relating to rule 128A—delete "128A" and substitute:

    128A(1)

  3. Schedule 4, Part 2, clause 5, item relating to rule 265(1)—after "wear" insert:

    approved

  4. Schedule 4, Part 2, clause 5, item relating to rule 265(3)—after "wearing" insert:

    approved

Note—

As required by section 10AA(2) of the Subordinate Legislation Act 1978, the Minister has certified that, in the Minister's opinion, it is necessary or appropriate that these regulations come into operation as set out in these regulations.
