An Act to amend section 5 of the Motor Vehicles (Third Party Insurance) Act, 1942, to provide that a reference in that Act to bodily injury shall include a reference to damage to certain prosthetic devices. [Assented

Motor Vehicles (Third Party Insurance) Amendment.

BE it enacted by the Queen's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and Legislative Assembly of New South Wales in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows :—

Short title.

1.     This Act may be cited as the "Motor Vehicles (Third Party Insurance)

Amendment Act, 1981".

Amendment of Act No. 15, 1942.

  1. The Motor Vehicles (Third Party Insurance) Act, 1942, is amended

by inserting after the definition of "Authorised insurer" in section 5 ( 1 ) the
following definition :—

"Bodily injury" includes, in relation to a person, damage to the person's crutches, artificial members, eyes or teeth, other artificial aids or spectacle glasses.
