An Act to amend the Motor Vehicles Taxation Management Act 1949 to extend the categories of exemptions or partial exemptions from motor vehicles tax which may be granted by the Minister. [Assented to 23 November 1988]

Motor Vehicles Taxation Management (Amendment) 1988

The legislature of New South Wales enacts:

Short title

1.     This Act may be cited as the Motor Vehicles Taxation Management

(Amendment) Act 1988.

Commencement

2.     This Act commences on the date of assent.

Amendment of Motor Vehicles Taxation Management Act 1949 No. 34, s. 7
(Exemptions)

3. The Motor Vehicles Taxation Management Act 1949 is amended by

inserting after section 7 (3) (1) the following paragraphs:

(m)	any motor vehicle which is used solely or principally by a State school or registered school (within the meaning of the Education and Public Instruction Act 1987) for the purposes of driver education for school children; or
(n)	any motor vehicle which is registered by or on behalf of a Police- Citizens Youth Club and which is used solely or principally for the purposes of such a Club.
