THE MOTOR Aots, 1936 to 1944," in oertain partioulars. VEHICLES INSURANCE ACTS AMENDMENT [ASSENTED TO 6TH DECEMBER, 1945.] ACT OF 1945. B E it enacted by the King's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legis- lative Assembly of Queensland in Parliament assembled, and py the authority of the same, as follows:- Short title 1. This Act may be cited as "The Motor Vehicles :!truction. InsuranceActsAmendmentAct of 1945," and shall be read as one with *" The Motor Vehicles Insurance Act. .~ , 1936 to 1944," herein referred to as the Principal Act. Collective The Principal Act and this Act may be collectively title. cited as "The Motor Vehicles Insurance Acts, 1936 to 1945." Amendment 2. (1.) Subsection one of section three of the Of8. 3 (I). Principal Act is amended by inserting, after the word " person" and before the words "where such injury" therein, the words "in any State or Territory of the Commonwealth of Australia." Construction (2.) Every contract of insurance .01' policy issued of contracts. under the Principal Act which is in force at the date of the passing of this Act shall, during the currency thereof and of every renewal thereof and in respect of or in relation to any accident which shall occur on or after such lastmentioned date, be read and construed so as to indemnify the insured against all sums for which he or his estate shall become legally liable by way of damages under the Principal Act as amended by this Act. Repeal of 3. Section eleven of the Principal Act is hereby s. H. repealed. Validation of 4.
