An Act to Amend "The Motor Vehicles Insurance M T O H T E OR Acts, 1936 to 1940," in a certain particular. VEHICLES INSURANCE ACTS AlIENDMENT [ASSENTED TO 8TH APRIL, 1943.] ACT OF 1943. B E it enacted by the King's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legis- lative Assembly of Queensland in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows :- Short title 1. (1.) This Act may be cited as "The Motor and t t' Vehicles Insurance Acts Amendment Act of 1943," and cons ruc lOn. shall be read as one with *" The Motor Vehicles Insurance Acts, 1936 to 1940," herein referred to as the Principal Act. Collective (2.) The Principal Act and this Act may be collectively title. cited as "The Motor Vehicles Insurance Acts, 1936 to 1943." New s. 8A inserted. 2. Tne following section, numbered 8A, is inserted after section eight of the Principal Act, namely:- "[8A.] (1.) It shall not be necessary for the owner of any motor vehicle which is temporarily in Queensland and which is registered- (i.) In New South Wales; or (ii.) In any State other than Queensland or New South Wales or any Territory of the Common- wealth prescribed by the Governor in Council as hereinafter in this section provided, to insure under this Act if while the motor vehicle is in Queensland the owner and any driver of such motor vehicle are insured under a contract of insurance in accordance with the law of New South Wales or, as the case may be, such prescribed State or Territory against liability which may be incurred by such owner or driver in respect of the death of or bodily injury to any person caused by or arising out of the use of such motor vehicle in Queensland. * 1 E. 8 No. 31 and amending Acts. B E it enacted by the King's Most Excellent MajestYl by and with the advice and consent of the Legis- lative Assembly of Queensland in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:- 1 This Act may be cited as "The Public Curator Short title. Acts Amendment Act of 1942 " and shall be read as one with *" The Public Curator Acts, 1915 to 1938," herein referred to as the Principal Act. The Principal Act and this Act may be collectively Collective cited as " The Public Curator Acts, 1915 to 1942." title. Amendments of the Principal Act. 2. The following section, numbered 21A, is inserted New B. 21A. after section twenty-one of the Principal Act, namely:- "[21A.] (1.)
