Motor Vehicle Repairers Amendment
Regulations (No. 2) 2014
Made by the Governor in Executive Council.
1. Citation
These regulations are the Motor Vehicle Repairers Amendment
Regulations (No. 2) 2014.
2. Commencement
These regulations come into operation as follows —
(a) regulations 1 and 2 — on the day on which these regulations are published in the Gazette; (b) the rest of the regulations — on the day fixed under the Road Traffic (Administration) Act 2008 section 2(b).
3. Regulations amended
These regulations amend the Motor Vehicle Repairers
Regulations 2007.
4. Regulation 3 amended
(1) In regulation 3(1) delete the definitions of: power assisted pedal cycle

(2) In regulation 3(1) insert in alphabetical order:
power assisted pedal cycle means a vehicle —
(a)
designed to be propelled through a mechanism operated solely by human power; and
(b)
to which is attached one or more auxiliary propulsion motors having a combined maximum output not exceeding —
(i) a vehicle that meets the standard of the
European Committee for
Standardization entitled EN 15194:2009
or EN 15194:2009+A1:2011 Cycles —250 W, in the case of a pedalec, namely EPAC Bicycles; or
(ii) 200 W, in any other case;
(3) In regulation 3(1) in the definition of exempt motorised
wheelchair paragraph (b) delete “Road Traffic Act” and insert:Road Traffic (Vehicles) Act 2012 (4) In regulation 3(1) in the definition of relevant authority
paragraph (a) delete “licensing provisions of the Road Traffic
Act; or” and insert:Road Traffic (Vehicles) Act 2012 Part 2; or

(5) In regulation 3(1) in the definition of vintage vehicle delete
“licensing provisions of the Road Traffic Act.” and insert:Road Traffic (Vehicles) Act 2012 Part 2. R. KENNEDY, Clerk of the Executive Council.
