812 Motor Vehicle Driving Instruction School Act Amendment Act 1984, No. 69 BE IT ENACTED by the Queen's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of Queensland in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows: 1. Short title and citation . (1) This Act may be cited as the Motor Vehicle Driving Instruction School Act Amendment Act 1984. (2) In this Act the Motor Vehicle Driving Instruction School Act1969 is referred to as the Principal Act. (3) The Principal Act as amended by this Act may be cited as the Motor Vehicle Driving Instruction School Act1969-1984. 2. Amendment of s. 31. O ffences and penalty . (1) Section 31 (1) of the Principal Act is amended by omitting the words " five hundred dollars " and substituting the expression " $1 000 ". 3. Amendment of s. 33. Regulations . Section 33 of the Principal Act is amended by- (a) omitting paragraph (f) and substituting the following paragraph:- (ff)) providing for and regulating the conditions to which motor vehicles used for the purposes of a driving school must conform, including conditions for equipment, markings and maintenance and the powers of an authorised officer to inspect such vehicles and ensure compliance with this Act;"; (b) in paragraph (k), omitting the words " twenty dollars " and inserting the expression " $60 "; (c) at the end thereof, adding the following paragraph:- " The regulations may adopt, wholly or in part and either by way of reference or by way of express specification therein, any of the standard rules, codes or specifications of the bodies known as the Standards Association of Australia, the British Standards Institution or a like body identified in the regulations.".
