Motor Vehicle Drivers Instructors Amendment Regulations 2025

Made by the Governor in Executive Council.

1.Citation

These regulations are the Motor Vehicle Drivers Instructors Amendment Regulations 2025.

2.Commencement

These regulations come into operation as follows —

• (a)

  regulations 1 and 2 — on the day on which these regulations are published on the WA legislation website;

• (b)

  the rest of the regulations — on the day after that day.

3.Regulations amended

These regulations amend the Motor Vehicle Drivers Instructors Regulations 1964.

4.Regulation 2 amended

• (1)

  In regulation 2 insert in alphabetical order:

   

transport investigation warden has the meaning given in the Road Traffic (Administration) Regulations 2014 regulation 3.

• (2)

  In regulation 2 in the definition of trailer delete “regulation 3.” and insert:

   

regulation 3;

5.Regulation 8 replaced

Delete regulation 8 and insert:

8. Licence or permit to be produced on request

The holder of a licence or permit must produce it for inspection at the request of any of the following persons —

• (a)

  a licensing officer;

• (b)

  a police officer;

• (c)

  a transport investigation warden;

• (d)

  a person wishing to receive, or who has received, driving instruction from the holder.
