Motor Vehicle Drivers Instructors Amendment

Regulations 2014

Made by the Governor in Executive Council.

1.             Citation

These regulations are the Motor Vehicle Drivers Instructors
Amendment Regulations 2014.

2.             Commencement

These regulations come into operation as follows —

(a)	regulations 1 and 2 — on the day on which these regulations are published in the Gazette;
(b)	the rest of the regulations — on the day fixed under the Road Traffic (Administration) Act 2008 section 2(b).

3.             Regulations amended

These regulations amend the Motor Vehicle Drivers Instructors
Regulations 1964.

4.             Regulation 2 amended

(1)	In regulation 2 delete the definitions of:
axle GVM motor carrier motor cycle semi-trailer trailer

(2) In regulation 2 insert in alphabetical order:

axle has the meaning given in the Road Traffic
(Authorisation to Drive) Regulations 2014

regulation 3;

GVM has the meaning given in the Road Traffic
(Vehicles) Act 2012 section 3(1);

motor carrier has the meaning given in the Road Traffic (Authorisation to Drive) Regulations 2014 regulation 3;

motor cycle has the meaning given in the Road Traffic
(Authorisation to Drive) Regulations 2014

regulation 3;

semi-trailer has the meaning given in the Road Traffic

(Vehicles) Regulations 2014 regulation 3;

trailer has the meaning given in the Road Traffic

(Vehicles) Regulations 2014 regulation 3.

(3)	In regulation 2 in the definition of licensing officer paragraph (b) delete “Part IVA of the Road Traffic Act 1974;” and insert:
the Road Traffic (Authorisation to Drive) Act 2008 Part 2;

5.             Regulation 12 amended

In regulation 12(3) delete “2008” and insert:

6.             Regulation 13A amended

In regulation 13A(1)(a) delete “Education Department of
Western Australia” and insert:

Department of Education and Training
