Act No. 117, 1986

An Act to amend the Motor Traffic Act 1909 with respect to the conditions upon which motor vehicles are to be sold. [Assented to, 27 November 1986]

Motor Traffic (Sale of Vehicles) Amendment 1986

BE it enacted by the Queen's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and Legislative Assembly of New South Wales in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

Short title

1. This Act may be cited as the "Motor Traffic (Sale of Vehicles)

Amendment Act 1986".

Amendment of Act No. 5, 1909, s. 3 (Regulations)

1. The Motor Traffic Act 1909 is amended by inserting after section 3

(1) (g2) the following paragraph:

(g3) provide that motor vehicles of a prescribed class shall not be sold or offered for sale unless the purchasers or prospective purchasers are supplied in the prescribed manner with specified information or documents relating to whether or not the vehicles are suitable for safe use or comply with the requirements of this Act and the regulations;
