Motor Traffic Regulations1 (Amendment)

The Australian Capital Territory Executive makes the following Regulations under the Motor Traffic Act 1936.

Commencement

1.  These Regulations commence on the day on which they are notified in the Gazette.

Principal Regulations

2.  In these Regulations, “Principal Regulations” means the Motor Traffic Regulations.

Schedule

3.  The Schedule to the Principal Regulations is amended—

(a)by omitting from column 2 of item 27 in Part II “112D (1) (a)” and substituting “112D (a)”;

(b)by omitting from column 3 of item 27 in Part II “where traffic sign bears the words  ‘TURN LEFT AT ANY TIME WITH CARE’ ”;

(c)by omitting from column 2 of item 28 in Part II “112D (1) (b)” and substituting “112D (b)”;

(d)by omitting from column 2 of item 29 in Part II “112D (1) (c)” and substituting “112D (c)”; and

(e)by inserting after item 122 in Part II the following items:

122A Subsection 171A (1) Non-learner driving motor vehicle with “L” plate $43
122B Subsection 171A (2) Non-provisional licence holder driving motor vehicle with “P” plate $43
