Motor Traffic (Amendment) Act

An Act to amend the Motor Traffic Act 1936

[Notified in ACT Gazette S152 :  20 December 1991]

The Legislative Assembly for the Australian Capital Territory enacts as follows:

Short title

1.  This Act may be cited as the Motor Traffic (Amendment) Act (No. 2) 1991.

Principal Act

2.  In this Act, “Principal Act” means the Motor Traffic Act 1936.1

Traffic infringement notices

3.  Section 180A of the Principal Act is amended by omitting subsection (1).

General offences

4.  Section 192 of the Principal Act is amended by omitting from subsection (2) “$500” and substituting “$2,000”.

Repeal

5.  Schedule 6 of the Principal Act is repealed.
