To amend the Motor Traffic Ordinance 1936-1947.

1-—(1.) This Ordinance may be cited a.s the Motor Traffic short title

(2.) The Motor Traffic Ordinance 1936-1947 is in this Ordinance
referred to as the Principal Ordinance.
(3.) The Principal Ordinance, a.s amended by this Ordinance,
may be cited as the Motor Traffic Ordinance 1936-1950.
2. Section fifty-two of the Principal Ordinance is amended by Duration of

3. The Second Schedule to the Principal Ordinance is The second

(a) by omitting from sub-clause (2.) of clause 2 the word " o r " (second occurring) and inserting in its stead the word " of " ; and
(b) by omitting the sub-clause—
" (9.) The fees payable for registration or renewal of registration of any motor vehicle are, by force of this clause, reduced by Fifteen per centum.".

4.— (1.) The amendment made by paragrapli (b) of the last Application of
| preceding section shall apply in relation to— | amendment. |
(a) every registration of a motor vehicle effected on or after the date fixed by the Minister under the next succeed- ing sub-section; and
(b) every renewal of the registration of a motor vehicle where the registration or previous renewal thereof, as the case may be, expires or has expired on or after the date so fixed.

(2.) For the purposes of this section the Minister may, by notice in the Gazette, fix a date as the date by reference to which the increase in registration fees effected by this Ordinance shall com- mence to operate.
