AN ORDINANCE

To amend the Motor Traffic Ordinance 1936-1943.

BE it ordained by the Governor-General in and over the Executive Council, in pursuance of the powers conferred by the Commonwealth of Australia, with the advice of the Federal Seat of Government Acceptance Act 1909-1938 and the Seat of
Government (Administration) Act 1910-1940 as follows:—

1.—(1.) This Ordinance may be cited as the Motor Traffic JsXtotkm.

Ordinance 1945.*

(2.) The Motor Traffic Ordinance 1936-1943 is in this Ordi- nance referred to as the Principal Ordinance.

(3.) The Principal Ordinance, as amended by this Ordinance, may be cited as the Motor Traffic Ordinance 1936-1945.

2. Section sixty-three of the Principal Ordinance is amended dangerous

by omitting from sub-section (3.) the words "Where a person is convicted of an offence against this section," and inserting in their stead the words " Where a person is convicted of the offence against this section of driving a motor vehicle upon a public street recklessly or at a speed or in a manner dangerous to the public,".

3. Section eighty of the Principal Ordinance is amended by ^ ° ^ a c s f o r

omitting from sub-section (1A.) the words "or ninety-four " and inserting in their stead the words " of driving a motor vehicle upon a public street negligently or against section ninety-four ".
