AN ORDINANCE

To amend the Motor Omnibus Services Ordinance 1955.

I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL of the Commonwealth of Australia,
acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Ordinance under the Seat of Government (Administra­ tion Act) 1910.

MOTOR OMNIBUS SERVICES (AMENDMENT) ORDINANCE

(No. 2) 1977

1. This Ordinance may be cited as the Motor Omnibus Services
(Amendment) Ordinance (No. 2) 1977.*

2. In this Ordinance, "Principal Ordinance" means the Motor

Omnibus Services Ordinance 1955.t

3.   Section 4BA of the Principal Ordinance is amended—

(a) by inserting after sub-section (1) the following sub­ section:—

" (1A ) Without limiting the generality of sub-section ( 1 ) , the arrangements that may be made under that sub­ section include arrangements for the sale of—

1972; N o . 52, 1973; No. 11. 1974; No. 42, 1975; N o . 41, 1976; and No. 2, 1977.

(a) children's daily tickets; and

(b)

daily tickets for use by persons other than children.";

(b)

by omitting from sub-section (3) the words "A person" and substituting the words "Subject to sub-section ( 3 A ) , a person "; and

(c)

by inserting after sub-section (3) the following sub­ section:—

" (3A ) Sub-section (3) does not apply in relation to the production, by a person who has attained the age of 15 years, of a child's daily ticket.".

4 . Section 4BB of the Principal Ordinance is repealed.

5.   Section 4CA of the Principal Ordinance is amended—

(a) by inserting after sub-section (1) the following sub­ section:—

" ( 1 A ) Without limiting the generality of sub-section

( 1 ) , the arrangements that may be made under that sub­
section include arrangements for the sale of—

(a) books of children's tickets; and

(b)

books of tickets for use by persons other than children.";

(b) by omitting from sub-section (4) the words "A person" and substituting the words "Subject to sub-section ( 5 ) , a person "; and
(c) by inserting after sub-section (4) the following sub­ section:—

" (5) Sub-section (4) does not apply in relation to the tender, by a person who has attained the age of 15 years, of a ticket or tickets taken from a book of children's tickets.".

6. Section 4cc of the Principal Ordinance is amended by omitting

from sub-section (2) the words " or book of tickets ".
