Motor Omnibus Fares Regulations 2

(Amendment)

I, WILLIAM MICHAEL HODGMAN, the Minister of State for the Capital Territory, hereby make the following Regulations under the Motor Omnibus Services Ordinance 1955.

Children's fares

1. Regulation 5 of the Motor Omnibus Fares Regulations is amended by omitting "or a school student" and substituting ", a school student, a tertiary student, an immigrant student or a student nurse".

Prices for daily tickets

2. Regulation 6A of the Motor Omnibus Fares Regulations is amended—•

(a) by omitting paragraph (2) (c) and substituting the following paragraphs:

"(c) tertiary students;
(d) immigrant students;
(e) student nurses;

" 6 A A . The price payable for a weekly ticket by a person included in any of the classes of persons specified in sub-section 4BB (1) of the Ordinance is $2.40.".

(f) pensioners;

(g) unemployed persons.";

(b) by omitting from paragraph (3) (a) "and school students" and sub­ stituting ", school students, tertiary students, immigrant students and student nurses"; and
(c) by inserting in paragraph (3) (b) "and unemployed persons" after "pensioners".

3. After regulation 6A of the Motor Omnibus Fares Regulations the following regulation is inserted:

Prices for monthly tickets

4. Regulation 6B of the Motor Omnibus Fares Regulation is amended—

(a)

by omitting paragraphs (2) (c) and (d) and substituting the following paragraphs:

"(c) tertiary students;
(d) immigrant students;
(e) student nurses;
(f) pensioners;

(g) unemployed persons."; and

(b) by omitting sub-regulation (3) and substituting the following sub- regulation :

"(3) For the purposes of sub-section 4c (2A) of the Ordinance, the price prescribed in relation to each of the classes of persons specified in sub-regulation (2) is $8.".

Prices for books of tickets

5 . Regulation 6 D of the Motor Omnibus Fares Regulations is amended—

(a) by omitting paragraph (2) (c) and substituting the following paragraphs:

"(c) tertiary students;
(d) immigrant students;
(e) student nurses;
(f) pensioners;

(g) unemployed persons.";

(b)

by omitting from paragraph (3) (a) "and school students" and sub­ stituting ", school students, tertiary students, immigrant students and student nurses"; and

(c)

by inserting in paragraph (3) (b) "and unemployed persons" after "pensioners".

Concession fares

6 . Regulation 9 of the Motor Omnibus Fares Regulations is amended by

inserting in sub-regulation (1) "or an unemployed person" after "pensioner".
