MOTOR DEALERS ACT 1974 - ORDER

I, Rear Admiral PETER ROSS SINCLAIR, Governor of the State of New South Wales, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of section 8 of the Motor Dealers Act 1974, make the Order set forth in the Schedule.

SCHEDULE

The Motor Dealers (Exemptions) Order 1986 is amended:
(a) by inserting at the end of clause 4 the following subclause:

(3) Section 9 (2) of the Act does not have effect in relation to a person who carries on, or advertises that the person carries on or is willing to carry on, the business of buyng and selling vehicle parts of accessories of motor a kind prescribed for the purposes of paragraph (c) of the definition of "auto-dismantler" in section 4 (1) of the Act if that person is the holder of a

repairer’s licence issued under the Motor Vehicle Repairs Act

1980.

(b)

by inserting at the end of the Table to clause 5 the following matter:

A motor vehicle which has been driven for more than 160,000 kilometres or

which was manufactured more than
10 years before the time it is sold by
a dealer. Section 27 (1)
