Motor Dealers Act 1974

His Excellency the Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, has made the following Regulation under the Motor Dealers Act 1974.

Explanatory note
The object of this Regulation is to extend until 1 September 2001 the period during which registers and notices, complying with the requirements of the repealed Motor Dealers Regulation 1986, may be used for the purposes of the Motor Dealers Regulation 1999.
This Regulation is made under the Motor Dealers Act 1974, including section 57

(the general regulation-making power).

1     Name of Regulation

This Regulation is the Motor Dealers Amendment (Transitional)

Regulation 2000.

2 Commencement

This Regulation commences on 1 September 2000.

3 Amendment of Motor Dealers Regulation 1999

The Motor Dealers Regulation 1999 is amended as set out in

Schedule 1.

4 Notes

The explanatory note does not form part of this Regulation.

Clause 70 Repeal and savings

Omit “1 September 2000” from clause 70 (3).

Insert instead “1 September 2001”.
