Motor Accidents (Lifetime Care and Support) Regulation 2025 (NSW)

This regulation is the Motor Accidents (Lifetime Care and Support) Regulation 2025.

2Commencement

This regulation commences on the day on which this regulation is published on the NSW legislation website.

Note—

This regulation repeals and replaces the Motor Accidents (Lifetime Care and Support) Regulation 2020, which would otherwise be repealed on 1 September 2025 by the Subordinate Legislation Act 1989, section 10(2).

3Definition

In this regulation—

the Act means the Motor Accidents (Lifetime Care and Support) Act 2006.

Note—

The Act and the Interpretation Act 1987 contain definitions and other provisions that affect the interpretation and application of this regulation.

4Delegation to authorised persons—the Act, s 41

For the Act, section 41(2), definition of authorised person, paragraph (b), the appointed directors of the ICNSW Board, within the meaning of the State Insurance and Care Governance Act 2015, are authorised as a class of persons.

5Other care and support schemes—the Act, s 43A

For the Act, section 43A(1), the Lifetime Care and Support (Catastrophic Injuries) Act 2014 of the Australian Capital Territory is prescribed.

6Repeal and savings(1)

The Motor Accidents (Lifetime Care and Support) Regulation 2020 is repealed.

An act, matter or thing that, immediately before the repeal of the Motor Accidents (Lifetime Care and Support) Regulation 2020, had effect under that regulation continues to have effect under this regulation.
