A. M. Gleeson the Governor:
I, Rear Admiral PETER ROSS SINCLAIR, A.C., Governor of the State of New South Wales, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of section 2 of the Motor Accidents (Amendment) Act 1993, do, by this my Proclamation, appoint 1 September 1994 as the day on which the uncommenced provisions of that Act commence.

EXPLANATORY NOTE
The object of this Proclamation is to commence the provisions of the Motor Accidents (Amendment) Act 1993 that did not commence on 1 January 1994. The remaining provisions make amendments to change the basis on which compensation is awarded for providing certain home care services, to allow compensation for respite care, and to specify the period of impairment that must exist for damages for non-economic loss to be awarded.
