Part 1    Preliminary

1   Short title

This regulation may be cited as the Motor Accident Insurance and Other Legislation (Administration Fee and Levies) Amendment Regulation 2019.

2   Commencement

This regulation commences on 1 July 2019.

Part 2    Amendment of Motor Accident Insurance Regulation 2018

3   Regulation amended

This part amends the Motor Accident Insurance Regulation 2018.

4   Replacement of s 7 (Insurer’s premium if registration period less than 1 year—Act, s 13(4)(b))

Section 7—
omit, insert—

7    Additional amount for insurer’s premium if registration period more or less than 1 year—Act, s 13

For section 13(4)(b) of the Act, the additional amount is—

(a)if the amount worked out under section 13(4)(a) of the Act (the proportionate amount) for a motor vehicle registered for less than 1 year would, apart from this paragraph, be less than $10—an amount equal to the difference between the proportionate amount and $10; or

(b)otherwise—nil.

5   Amendment of s 8 (Levies and administration fee—Act, s 14A)
