s1 2 s5 Motor Accident Insurance and Another Regulation No. 70, 2003 Amendment Regulation (No. 1) 2003 PART 1—PRELIMINARY 1 Short title This regulation may be cited as the Motor Accident Insurance and Another Regulation Amendment Regulation (No. 1) 2003 . 2 Commencement Sections 5 and 6(2) commence on 1 May 2003. PART 2—AMENDMENT OF MOTOR ACCIDENT INSURANCE REGULATION 1994 3 Regulation amended in pt 2 This part amends the Motor Accident Insurance Regulation 1994. 4 Amendment of s 3 (Definitions) Section 3, definition “registered for limited use”— omit. 5 Insertion of new pt 6 After section 20— insert—

s6 3 s6 Motor Accident Insurance and Another Regulation No. 70, 2003 Amendment Regulation (No. 1) 2003 ‘PART 6—TRANSITIONAL PROVISION FOR TRANSPORT OPERATIONS (ROAD USE MANAGEMENT—VEHICLE REGISTRATION) AMENDMENT REGULATION (No. 1) 2003 ‘21 References to vehicle registered for limited use ‘A reference in a document under the Act to a vehicle registered for limited use is taken to be a reference to a conditionally registered vehicle. Example of a document under the Act — A document relating to the premium setting process under section 13A 1 of the Act.’. 6 Amendment of sch 1 (Table of vehicle classes) (1) Schedule 1, entries for vehicle classes 14, 15, 19, 20 and 21— omit. (2) Schedule 1— insert— ‘14 Tractors, with or without attachment, that are conditionally registered with unrestricted access registration 15 (a) Self-propelled machinery, other than a vehicle of class 14, 19, 20 or 21; and (b) Fire engines, bush fire brigade vehicles and other emergency vehicles other than ambulances 19 Motor vehicles that are conditionally registered with limited access registration 20 Motor vehicles that are conditionally registered with zone access registration 21 Self-propelled machinery, other than a vehicle of class 14, 15, 19 or 20, that is conditionally registered with unrestricted access registration’. 1 Section 13A (Premium rates) of the Act
