1. Name of regulation

   This regulation is the Motor Accident Injuries (Premiums and Administration) Amendment Regulation 2022 (No 1).

2. Commencement

   This regulation commences on the day after its notification day.

   NoteThe naming and commencement provisions automatically commence on the notification day (see Legislation Act, s 75 (1)).

3. Legislation amended

   This regulation amends the Motor Accident Injuries (Premiums and Administration) Regulation 2019.

5. Schedule 1, section 1.1, new definition of modified historic vehicle

   insert

   modified historic vehicle means a motor vehicle that—

   (a)was built at least 30 years ago; and

   (b)has been modified; and

   (c)if the vehicle had not been modified—would be classified as a veteran vehicle, vintage vehicle or historic vehicle.

   street rod or street machine vehicle

   1     vehicle’s suspension and wheel guards altered to accommodate tyres wider than original

   2     vehicle’s engine adjusted to increase power output (turbocharging)
