I, the chief executive of the State Insurance Regulatory Authority, in pursuance of section 3.22 (3) of the Motor Accident Injuries Act 2017, make the following Order.

Explanatory note

The object of this Order is to notify the number that equates to the factor ---- used in the formula set out in

the Motor Accident Injuries Act 2017 for calculating the variation of the amount of a weekly payment ofC

statutory benefits to be paid to a person who has been injured in a motor accident to which the Act applies. The Act requires the amount of a weekly payment of statutory benefits to be varied on 1 April and 1 October each year.

This Order is made under section 3.22 (3) of the Motor Accident Injuries Act 2017.

1      Name of Regulation

This Order is the Motor Accident Injuries (Indexation) Amendment (Weekly Statutory
Benefits) Order 2018.

2      Commencement

This Order commences on 1 April 2018 and is required to be published on the NSW legislation website.

Clause 4A

Insert after clause 4:

4A Section 3.22: Indexation of weekly statutory benefits

For the purposes of section 3.22 (3) of the Act, the number that equates	B
to the factor	---- for the purposes of the variation of the amount of a

weekly payment of statutory benefits required on the review dateC

specified in Column 1 of the Table to this clause is the number specified

opposite the review date in Column 2 of the Table.
