An Act to sanction the erect ion of a Hospi tal for t he Insane at Mor isse t ; and for purposes consequent thereupon or incidental there to . [l6th December, 1909.]

declare t h a t it was expedient to carry out a cer ta in work, namely , the WH E R E A S , in accordance wi th W o r k s Act , 1900, t he Legis la t ive Assembly did, by resolution,
erect ion of a Hospi ta l for the I n s a n e a t M o r i s s e t : A n d whereas , on t h e passing of t he said resolution, a s t a tu to ry d u t y was by the said A c t imposed on the Secre tary for Publ ic Works to in t roduce a Bill into the said Assembly to sanct ion t he ca r ry ing out of t h e said work : Be it therefore enacted by the K i n g ' s Most Exce l l en t Majesty, by and
wi th t h e advice and consent of t h e Legis la t ive Counci l and Legis la t ive
Assembly of N e w South Wales in Pa r l i amen t assembled, and by t h e
au thor i ty of t he same, as follows :—•

1. This A c t may be cited as t he " Morisset Hosp i t a l for I n s a n e
Ac t , 1909 . "

2. The works described in the Schedule to this A c t arc hereby sanct ioned, and the ca r ry ing out of t h e same by the Secretary for Pub l i c Works, or t he m e m b e r of the Execu t i ve Council for t he t ime being per forming the dut ies of t he said Secretary, is he reby authorised, and for t h a t pur-pose he shall be, and shall have t h e powers and duties of, a Cons t ruc t ing A u t h o r i t y wi thin t he mean ing of t he Pub l i c W o r k s

3. The plan of the works is the plan marked " Hosp i t a l

for I n s a n e , Morisset ," signed by the Secretary for Pub l i c W o r k s , and
counters igned by t h e Gove rnmen t Archi tec t , and deposited in the
publ ic office of t he said Secretary.

4. The cost of ca r ry ing out such of the works in the said

Schedule as have not yet been const ructed, es t imated a t one h u n d r e d

and twen ty - s ix thousand four hund red pounds, m a y be defrayed from such L o a n Votes as are now or may hereafter be appl icable to t h a t purpose , or from appropria t ions of t he Publ ic W o r k s F u n d , or par t ly from such votes and par t ly from the said appropr ia t ions , and shall no t under any c i rcumstances exceed the es t imated cost by more t h a n
