"Wales in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of

the same, as follows : —

1 . This Act may be cited as the " Mittagong, Bowral,

and Moss Vale Transmission Line Act, 1922." 2 .

2 . The carrying out of the works described in the Schedule is hereby sanctioned, and the Secretary for Public Works is empowered to carry out the said works.

The cost of carrying out the said works, exclusive of land resumptions, is estimated at thirty-two thousand pounds, and such estimated cost shall not, Tinder any circumstances, be exceeded by more than ten per centum.

4 . Electric transmission lines, conduits, and other works may be placed or carried on, over, through, under, along, across, or by the side of any lands, street, road, bridge, viaduct, railway, waters, or watercourse.

5 . For the purposes of this Act, but not otherwise,
the Public Works Act, 1912, is amended by inserting
after section four thereof the following:—

4A. The provisions of this Act relating to the acquisition of land shall also apply to the acquisition of any easement, right, or privilege in, over, or affecting any land, whether such easement, right, or privilege is acquired separately from or together with any land.

S C H E D U L E

T H E works comprise the construct ion of a high tension transmission
line to convey electricity from the P o r t K e m b l a Power Sta t ion to the Southern H igh lands , including the towns of Mi t t agong , Bowral, and Moss Vale , for power and l ight ing purposes, wi th the necessary sub­ s ta t ions .
The transmission line will commence a t the Avon Dam and run in a
wester!v direction for 41/2 miles to a point near the Main Southern

Rai lway line about 2 miles nor th of Yerringbool Rai lway Sta t ion, then

t u r n i n g to the south-south-east and following generally the direction of	the Main Sou thern Rai lway for 111/2 miles to a sub-station site s i tuated
on the dividing boundary of the municipalit ies of Mi t tagong and Bowral , thence cont inuing fur ther for about 6 miles to a point on t he Moss Vale municipal boundary at Wingecar r ibee Creek ,approx imate ly at i ts junc t ion wi th the Great Southern road.
The total length of transmission line from Avon to Moss Vale is approximate ly 22 miles. The construction will be bare copper con­ ductors supported on insulators a t tached to hardwood poles spaced approximate ly 400 feet apar t .
The works to be subject to such modifications and deviat ions as t he Cons t ruc t ing A u t h o r i t y may deem necessary.
