Misuse of Drugs Amendment Regulations

(No. 3) 2011

Made by the Lieutenant-Governor and Administrator in Executive
Council.

1.           Citation

These regulations are the Misuse of Drugs Amendment
Regulations (No. 3) 2011.

2.            Commencement

These regulations come into operation as follows —

(a)

regulations 1 and 2 — on the day on which these regulations are published in the Gazette;

(b) the rest of the regulations — on the day after that day.

3.             Regulations amended

These regulations amend the Misuse of Drugs Regulations 1982.

4.            Regulation 5B amended

(1) Before regulation 5B(1) insert:

(1A) In subregulation (1)

chemist means a person registered under the Health
Practitioner Regulation National Law (Western
Australia) in the pharmacy profession;
optometrist means a person registered under the Health
Practitioner Regulation National Law (Western

Australia) in the optometry profession.

(2) In regulation 5B(1):

(a) before paragraph (a) insert:

(aa) chemist;

(b) delete paragraph (e).

(3) Delete regulation 5B(2).
