NEW SOUTH WALES

Act No. 215, 1986

An Act to amend certain Acts as a consequence of and in connection with

the enactment of the Gas Act 1986. [Assented to 23 December 1986]

Miscellaneous Acts (Gas) Amendment 1986

BE it enacted by the Queen's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and Legislative Assembly of New South Wales in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

Short title

1. This Act may be cited as the "Miscellaneous Acts (Gas) Amendment

Act 1986" .

Commencement

2. (1) Sections 1 and 2 shall commence on the date of assent to this

Act.

(2) Except as provided by subsection (1), this Act shall commence on the commencement of the Gas and Electricity (Gas Repeal) Amendment Act 1986.

Amendment of certain Acts

1. Each Act specified in Schedule 1 is amended in the manner set forth

in that Schedule.

Transitional

4. (1) Section 68A of the Plumbers, Gasfitters and Drainers Act 1979 applies in respect of a contravention of the Gas and Electricity Act 1935 occurring before the commencement of this Act as if this Act had not been enacted.

(2) This section ceases to operate 6 months after the commencement of

this Act.

Omit "Gas and Electricity Act 1935", insert instead "Electricity (Special

Omit the items.

Omit the Schedule.

Omit the subsection.

Pipelines Act 1967 No. 90—

Section 5 (6)—

Omit "Gas and Electricity Act, 1935", insert instead "Gas Act 1986".

Section 68A (C)—

Omit the paragraph, insert instead:
(c) the Gas Act 1986;
