I, Rear Admiral PETER ROSS SINCLAIR, A.C., Governor of the State of New South Wales, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of section 2 of the Miscellaneous Acts (Community Welfare) Repeal and Amendment Act 1987, do, by this my Proclamation, appoint 1 September 1993 as the day on which section 3 of that Act commences in its application to the unrepealed provisions of the Child Welfare Act 1939.

Note: This Proclamation has the effect of repealing the unrepealed provisions of the Child Welfare Act 1939. Consequently, it also has the effect of repealing the Child Welfare Regulations 1940.
