MINISTERS OF STATE.
No. 35 of 1935.
An Act to increase the maximum number of Ministers
of State from nine to ten and to appropriate an amount for their salaries.
[Assented to 3rd October, 1935.]
BE it enacted by the King’s Most Excellent Majesty,
the Senate, and the House of Representatives of the Commonwealth of Australia,
as follows:—
Short title.
1. This Act may be cited as the Ministers of State
Act 1935.
Repeal.
2.The Acts specified in the first column of the Schedule
to this Act are repealed to the extent respectively specified in the second
column of that Schedule.
Number of Ministers.
3.The number of Ministers of State may exceed seven
but shall not exceed ten.
Salaries of Ministers.
4.There shall be payable to the King, out of the
Consolidated Revenue Fund of the Commonwealth, which is hereby appropriated
accordingly, for the salaries of the Ministers of State, an annual sum up to
but not exceeding Thirteen thousand five hundred and sixty pounds.
