An Act to amend the Mining-Act, 1906; to validate certain notifications with regard to the c a n c e l lation, forfeiture, or voidance of certain leases ; and to declare the law with regard to certain notifications signed by Ministers of the Crown.

by and with the advice and consent of the Legis lative Council and Legislative Assembly of New South Wales in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows :—
1. This Act may be cited as the " Mining Leases Cancellation (Validation) Act, 1910."
2. Every notification published in the Gazette pur porting to by under the provisions of the Mining .Vet, 190G, or any Act thereby repealed, or under any regulations made under those Acts, of the cancellation, forfeiture, or voidance of any lease shall be deemed to have had the effect of cancelling, forfeiting, or voiding such lease at the date of such publication.
| 4 . Section one hundred and twenty-four of the Mining Act, 1906, is amended by omitting the word "proclaimed" and inserting "notified" in lieu thereof. 1 |
3. Any notification in the Gazette, made before the commencement of this Act, which purports to have been signed by a person who at the time of signing was a Minister of the Crown shall be deemed to have been signed by him as such Minister, although his official character does not appear in such notification or is not added to his signature.
5 . This Act shall not apply to the cancellation of the leases of the Silver Teak Mines, Limited, purported to be made by notice in the Supplementary Government Gazette issued on seventh June, one thousand nine hundred and fifteen, or to any other cancellations in respect of which litigation is now pending.
