Mining Amendment Regulations 2008

Made by the Governor in Executive Council.

1.            Citation

2.             Commencement

These regulations come into operation as follows:

(a)	regulations 1 and 2 — on the day on which these regulations are published in the Gazette;
(b)	the rest of the regulations — on the day on which the Mining Legislation Amendment and Validation Act 2008 Part 3 comes into operation.

3.             The regulations amended

The amendments in these regulations are to the Mining
Regulations 1981.

4.             Regulation 42B amended

Regulation 42B is amended as follows:

(a)	by deleting "or" after paragraph (m);
(b)	by deleting paragraph (n) and inserting instead -

(n)	a communications facility;
(o)	a drainage channel;
(p)	a pump station;
(q)	a minesite accommodation facility;
(r)	a bore;
(s)	a bore field;
(t)	a water management facility;
(u)	a power generation and transmission facility;

(v)     a storage or transportation facility for minerals or mineral concentrate;

(w) a minesite administration facility;

(x)     a workshop and storage facility;

(y) a jetty.

5.             First Schedule amended

The First Schedule is amended in Form 11 by deleting "5 years" and inserting instead —

" 21 years ".
