[ASSENTED TO 7TH JANUARY, 1928.] .BE it enacted by the King's Most Excellent Majesty, - by and with the advice and consent of the Legis- lative Assembly of Queensland in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:- 1. This Act may be cited as "The 111 ining Acts Short title Amendment Act of 1927, No. 2," and shall be read as one: ~ ~ sLruct' on with *" The Mining Act of 1898" and its several amend- " 1. ments, herein referred to as the Principal Act. The Principal Act and this Act shall collectively be cited as "The Mining Acts, 1898 to 1927." The collective citation of the MiningAct and its subsequent amendments, as prescribed in section six of t" The Mining Acts Amendment Act of 1927," shall also be deemed to include this Act in such collective citation. 2. Notwithstanding anything in t"The WaterAct of Use o~ ~ vate~ 1926" to the contrary, nothing in such last- mentioned~ ~ ; , ~ ~ ~ ~ g Act shall affect the right to the use of water under §" The Mining Act of 1898," and the provisions of t" The Water Act of 1926 " shall be deemed to be amended accordingly: Provided that water rights for the generation of electric power for any other purpose than the applicant's own use shall not be granted under §" The Mining Act of 1898." 3 • In section forty-seven of the Principal Act , the A ~ m s e f n l dm ~ ent words "and not being a street or road" are repealed. the Principal Act. * 62 Vie.
