MINING ACT 1992—REGULATION

(Relating to certain fees for mineral claims and opal prospecting licences)

HIS Excellency the Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of the Mining Act 1992, has been pleased to make the Regulation set forth hereunder.

Commencement

1. This Regulation commences on 1 June 1993

Amendments

2. The Mining (General) Regulation 1992 is amended:

(a) by omitting from Part 1 of Schedule 5 (Fees) the following matter:

Renewal of mineral claim (Sec. 197) .................................... $50
Transfer of mineral claim (Sec. 200) ................................. $50
Transfer of mineral claim by devolution (Sec. 202)................. $50

Grant of opal prospecting licence (Sec. 228) ........................ $150

and by inserting instead the following matter:

Renewal of mineral claim (Sec. 197) ................................ $75
Transfer of mineral claim (Sec. 200) ................................... $70
Transfer of mineral claim by devolution (Sec. 202)................ $70
Grant of opal prospecting licence (Sec. 228) ...................... $210

(b) by omitting from Part 2 of Schedule 5 the following matter: Application for suspension of conditions of mineral claim

(Cl. 43) ........................................................................... $25

and by inserting instead the following matter:

Application for suspension of conditions of mineral claim

EXPLANATORY NOTE

The object of this Regulation is to amend the Mining (General) Regulation 1992 to increase the fees for the renewal, transfer, transfer by devolution and application for suspension of conditions of mineral claims, and for the grant of opal

prospecting licences.
